Manthokha Waterfall Kharmang Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan | | Pictures of Manthokha Waterfall Skardu

Where is Manthokha waterfall located? 

Located in the village of Manthokha Kharmang in District Kharmang Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, this waterfall is famous for its picturesque and spectacular landscape. This is one of the main tourist destinations of the district Skardu welcoming the native as well as international tourists. 


How to reach there? 

The waterfall is in village Manthokha which can be accessed from Skardu city. 
Heading towards Manthokha Waterfall one has to follow the Kargil-Skardu road from Skardu city. While moving to Manthokha the following villages comes on the way on Kargil-Skardu road: Hussainabad, Thorgo, Parkutta, Ghasing and Manthokha. 
A stream running downstream falls into the Indus River at Manthokha village. On the east side of this stream is Madhupur, a road Manthoka-Madhapur road shall lead you to your final destination, Manthokha Waterfall.

Zharba Lake or Jarba Lake Shigar Skardu Baltistan

It is panoramic and beautiful lake in the Shigar Valley of Skardu District, only at a distance of about half hour drive from the Skardu city. To reach this beautiful lake one has to drive form the Skardu city towards the Shigar Valley on Skardu-Shigar Road which leads to the K-2 peak. After crossing the bridge on Indus River the lake is on a ridge in the entrance of Shigar Valley. The lake is surrounded by the Indus River on one side and Shigar River from another.

Manchar Lake, Jamshoro Sindh, Pakistan


Located at the west of Indus River in the Jomshoro District of Sindh Pakistan, this lake is the largest freshwater lake in Pakistan as well as in Asia. The area of the lake fluctuates with the season from as little as 350 km2 to as much as 500 km2. The lake is feed by the number of streams from Kirthar range mountains and empties into the Indus River. 

The lake is also rich by the fishes and the nearby villagers earn their livelihood mainly from this lake. The visitors enjoys the swimming and boating in the lake. Also, the surrounding area is spectacular for the photography. The lake has also been visited by the flocks of the birds migrating from the Siberia.

Khewra Salt Mine, Jehlum Pakistan

Located in the district of Jhelum, Punjab province of Pakistan at a distance of 200 km from Lahore and Islamabad, this salt mine is the 2nd largest salt mine in the world. Hundreds of thousands of tourists rush every year to see this spectacular place.  The mine has a train to move around, a number of salt water pounds, a replica of Minar-e-Pakistan, a statue of Allama Iqbal, accumulation of crystals that forms the name of Muhammad in Urdu and model of Great Wall of China.
Other attractions include 75 meters high Assembly Hall, Pul-e-Sarat, a bridge with no pillar over a 25-meter deep brine pond and Sheesh Mehal.
This salt mine was discovered in the era of Alexander but proper mining was started in the Mughal era.
